ALARM-B9

To contribute to the proper fetal brain development.

In France, nearly half of women of childbearing age a child has a deficiency in vitamin B9 (folate), often without knowing it. However, it is particularly important for future and new mother to consume enough vitamin B9, at the time of conception, in early pregnancy and during breastfeeding to minimize the risk of neurological abnormalities and promote the healthy development of fetus and newborn.
In Europe, on average 4 500 pregnancies a year end with the birth of a fetus with a neural tube defect. Folate deficiency in the mother before and during early pregnancy is a real risk factor.
Studies have also shown that the higher the concentration of plasma folate mother was raised to 30 weeks of pregnancy, the greater the cognitive test scores of children (9-10 years) are increasing: learning, concentration, speech1.
Thus, we understand easily that dietary advice and a systematic individual folate supplementation should be encouraged for women with a draft of pregnancy 2.

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is an essential fatty acid Omega 3, which reads in the maternal diet is also crucial for brain development of children and the health of the mother. The physiological need, set at 250 mg per day, is generally not covered by the normal diet.
The infant brain is composed of about 60% DHA. Also, AFSSA has opted for a reevaluation of recommended dietary allowances in 2010 from 120 mg to 250 mg / day for the entire population (because we are all impaired) but with special attention to pregnant women and breastfeeding 3. Indeed, its content in thematernal nutrition plays a fundamental role in the development and functioning of the brain of the fetus and newborn (neurons, synapses ...).
Studies show that the DHA status of infants is correlated with the mother, significantly influencing psychomotor development and visual function. Children whose mothers have a diet rich in fatty fish during pregnancy have a higher visual acuity at age 3 ½ and intellectual capacities greater than 8 years 4.

GESTA-B9 Laboratories INELDEA

GESTA-B9 has been specially developed to maximize the intake of DHA and Vitamin B9 (folate) of the pregnant or lactating women. Two major players to contribute to brain development of fetuses and newborn and improve comfort and vitality of the future and new mother.

In addition to fish oil, naturally rich in DHA and vitamin B9 (folate), GESTA-B9 contains other vitamins B9:
-From Vitamin B6 to reduce morning sickness in pregnant women in early pregnancy 5,
-Of Vitamin D, essential for bone calcification, she participates in the development of the fetus and prevention of bone of the mother,
And finally, Vitamin E, a potent antioxidant thus protecting cells vis-à-vis radical attacks responsible for their premature aging. Studies show that supplementation with vitamin E may reduce the risk of cognitive decline.

The micro-nutrition effectively overcomes the shortcomings found in the maternal diet.GESTA B9 is strongly recommended for pregnant or lactating at conception.
